Missouri Hospital Association uses CyraCom for all document translation. Cyracom is exclusively endorsed by the American Hospital Association and has also been awarded ISO 9001: 2008 certification.

CyraCom bases its quality control process for translated documents on the following.

  1. careful vetting, assessment, training and monitoring of all translation resources; translation executed only by qualified linguists
  2. control of terminology via glossary/term management processes
  3. editing by an impartial second qualified translator/editor
  4. review, correction incorporating customer feedback
  5. technical QA of document production and final linguistic proofreading in-context for final quality
  6. measurement processes throughout according to strict LISA standards and documented in our ISO approved quality processes.
  7. continuous improvement throughout via ISO CAR/PAR databases and procedures

For a basic step-by-step outline of our In-Project Quality Control Process, the following list applies.

  1. Project is received and evaluated by a project manager.
  2. Project team is formed with translators, editors and proofreaders.
  3. Appropriate client specific glossary and style guide are created.
  4. Translation memories are selected/assessed/created.
  5. Project files are submitted to team, and the translation/trans-creation process begins.
  6. Translated files are checked by the editor, looking for content, spelling, punctuation, terminology adherence, translation accuracy, clarity and style. Editing process follow strict guidelines specified by an internal checklist.
  7. Editor returns translations to translator for final updates. 
  8. Translated/edited documents are formatted and given technical QA by technical production staff.
  9. Formatted document given linguistic/format review by qualified reviewer or SME.
  10. Initial formatted and QA’d documents submitted for review if required.
  11. Missouri Hospital Association feedback is returned to CyraCom for implementation and final QA check.
  12. Completed project is delivered.

Every translation receives a thorough review by a qualified editor, providing a full second-party proof and edit prior to delivery. After initial screening and background verification, all CyraCom translators and editors are qualified by our translator application test. We only select linguists who are native speakers. Translators and editors must be certified by the American Translators Association and/or hold a formal degree in translation. Resumes and client references are checked, as well. Linguists are re-qualified semi-annually based on statistically relevant samplings.

CyraCom pays special attention to the reading level, industry vocabulary, target audience and messaging. Linguists must demonstrate the ability to translate at literacy levels relevant to a target audience grade level. Whenever necessary, culturally adapt messages to ensure audience understanding without offending the reader. CyraCom is committed to being exceptionally responsive to our clients, including promptly addressing requests for review and correcting any actual errors identified. The company follows a strict ISO Corrective Action Report/Preventive Action Report process. Any translator complaint information and client feedback regarding noncompliance are recorded.
