The face of Missouri’s population is changing. According to the U.S Census Bureau's 2009 data, Missouri’s foreign-born population is nearly 213,000. Because many of these individuals do not speak English, language barriers can obstruct access to health care. Through this site from the Missouri Hospital Association, health care professionals in both metropolitan and rural communities can respond to the growing cultural diversity of Missouri’s patient population.
